About Mark Westwood, Owner
Throughout my life, music has played a key role, and it has always been a source of enjoyment. I am a life long DJ, also a musician, a sax man too--by the 4th grade I was playing Stan Getz tunes, and I have never stopped. I started helping a pro local area DJ set up and break down his equipment while as a high school student. My first mentor DJ, Lenny Neigel, gave me some great experience, and a lot to live up to—Lenny was well known in the area for building light shows and wiring area nightclubs for sound.
Dj'ing was so enjoyable that I have been doing it ever since, and I am not satisfied unless the dance floor is full and everyone has smiles on their faces.
In College I majored in Music and then later in Communications with a broadcast emphasis, and it wasn't long before I began working in radio. I've worked at major radio stations all over the Inland Empire and the Palm Springs markets, and all total I have slated over 10 years in the radio industry. I take pride in the fact that I am good at what I do, and I always strive to achieve higher heights. I still play the saxophone when ever I get the chance. I D.j. for a living, so I stake my living at my good reputation, and I believe that the only difference between good and great is a little bit more effort. I promise that effort to you. I'm now the General Manager of KCAA NBC News Radio in the Inland Empire.
I love music, people, and my job - a perfect combination for consultation, or as your DJ on your special day or event.
A few years back I built a popular local radio on-air station from the nuts, bolts and ground up. It's KQLH 92.5 LP in Yucaipa. KQLH plays a mix of classic hits and favorites. You can check it out at KQLHRadio.com or check out the APP in your smart phone app store - just type in KQLH and follow the prompts. Of course the music on KQLH is geared towards a certain audience.
Not too long ago, we also built KFXM, a Classic Country Radio station in Cherry Valley, Ca. You can find KFXM on air at 94.1 FM and on line at KFXMRadio.com or in your smart device app store enter KFXM and follow the prompts.
We also have an on line HD digital radio station called TheOutLetRadio.com that plays a mix of popular music from the last 20 years to the present.
Of course all of these stations are for listening. It takes a dance dj to get the dance floor moving, and our DJ's know all the tricks to make your event enjoyable and get the dance floor bumpin'
